It really makes encouraging words of others even more profound. Have you ever noticed/experienced that? Mike shared our dreams, goals, aspirations and everything that's been divinely set in place by God...with a friend that he looks up to. It was odd. No words of "wow" or encouragement was offered...or anything. Well, actually, there was a warning [welp, several]. They were all nobrainers. The obvious. Advise is maybe more of the categorical description. Interestingly, not even any offering of prayer. That's astounding.
While, I shouldn't be surprised, it still does seem a slight disappointing shocker. We've been called to be part of a ministry that impacts tens of millions in a third world country. What's not humbly W O W about that? I know....this calling is not about us...it's about Jesus....He doesn't need us, but He's chosen to use us in such a profound way.
So, all that to say.....we have really appreciated those that have been encouraging, offering partnership in prayer...and continue asking for updates. Their/your [if you're reading this] partnership on all varying levels helps keep His fire of passion for Asia burning. We're excited even through unforeseen challenging changes going on at Mike's work. With a near sited vision lens these changes look like they could collide with God's plans. However, stepping back and seeing the bigger picture shows just how He's beautifully orchestrating it all together.
We're humbly excited.....and honored.
