It happened. After four months of [me] wondering what direction the boat was sailing Steve has officially resigned and Mike has been appointed the new "point man" of Radio Shine. Do they have Steve's replacement in mind? Have they already been interviewing and/or talking to someone? No indication of such has been given to Mike. So, the leadership [the near future thereof] remains a mystery. The past three years have been an incredible test of patience, endurance and seeking God's whereabouts in His plans for the station. Has the remaining staff from it's original camaraderie under Carol Stensrud passed the test? Such things are only revealed through time.
In the mean time, Mike has enjoyed the freedom to get his head together with two other key players strategizing ways to keep the station, not only afloat, but thriving....hopefully by leaps and bounds. There is no longer anyone unknowingly serving as an obstacle to things that need to be done. That alone has been a refresher for the past three work days. My excitement grows as Mike makes calls to Jon and Chris who have joyously agreed to come back and help with Sharathon in April. We prayerfully hope the board gives the thumbs up. It has been far too long not to have the professionalism of fund raising strategics and the momentum-revving likes of those two. KGCB will now most likely experience regrowth in ministry and essential relationships that makes it what it once was. Although, I realize it was most certainly take some time.
