if you only knew the millions of things I want to say....but don't

a case for justice

Donald Trump has made so many waves since he entered the race for the most powerful political seat in Washing D.C.  From shocking the country to making promises that most conservatives could only dream of a President keeping. From bashing every lying conservative in the debates to filleting Hillary in the last three Presidential debates.  From winning the race into the White House to fulfilling many promises he made to the American people.  No matter what side of the isle any American passionately identifies her/himself with, we all have to admit no one in the history of politics has ever been brutally thrown through the political and pernicious media gauntlet nearly as Donald Trump has been and lived to tell the tale.  Being the brusquely shrewed business man that he's been for decades, Donald Trump has not only played into the media's tentacles and continuously gets spit back out alive, but he himself has lured the media into his lair and spit them back out slightly shredded.  Sometimes the media comes out looking a little more shredded than before.  It's been quite the spectacle. Have America ever witnessed such a circus in politics?  I don't know enough details of our history to give an accurate answer to that.

The biggest 2018 fire was Trump's second nomination for the Supreme Court.  Once all the Senate hearings were over it looked like Judge Brett Kavanaugh was set to be the next Justice.  Then in the eleventh hour the Democrats "exposed" a snag that looked to kill one of Trump's potentially biggest conservative accomplishments.  One must admit that the Democrats fulfilled their promise which was to do EVERYTHING within their power to kill Trump's next nominee.  Didn't matter who it was and how much integrity that individual had in their personal and professional life.  They vowed to defeat Kavanaugh into oblivion and keep that seat open through the midterms.  Anything to achieve the power they saw slipping away.  Thus, the Christine Blasey Ford vs. Judge Brett Kavanaugh venomous circus ensued.  The Democrats tried to control their circus frenzy they created towards their desired result. The Republicans tried to buffer and tame it to a lull.  Yet, of the all parties involved, the ones who actually were butchered and got their social reputations machete sliced into thousands of bloody pieces by the public courts were both Ford and Kavanaugh.  In the age of social media it was basically a blood bath.

There are really only  two big subjects I've ever voiced myself with in politics via social media. The right to life for the unborn and now Kavanaugh.  I hadn't thought through the ramifications of making myself vulnerable to social media.  But none-the-less this contributing voice spoke out and got some unexpectedly pleasant responses:

Friends.....
At six years old and under I suffered through sexual abuse on several occasions in a Christian orphanage. Then as teenager I was sexually assaulted in a public school. So I get the victim role. I know what it's like to look in the face of evil. Very traumatic. At the same time I know what it's like to be falsely accused of something that is minor in comparison. Surely many of us do. So the thought of ever being falsely accused with sexual assault and getting your face/name dragged through some nasty yuck for the entire world to watch and weigh in on. .. that's gotta be understandably "like hell" as the accused has been saying. So.... no matter who's side you take, please BE CONSIDERATE of the other side. Unless your name is Ford or Kavanaugh you don't know what happened 36 years ago between the two. Be respectful of the people in your Facebook contact list that have been assaulted but also apply this scenario to yourself if you were falsely accused. Be quick to listen and watch if you absolutely have to be glued to it. But also be slow to speak against one or the other .....and against your friends' ten cents. We're all people molded with the same human ingredients and we've all been shaped by our own life circumstances. It's our make up. Be the understanding human you expect others to be. Everybody matters.
Love to all.......

Many expressed their sympathetic distress for me.  A reaction I didn't think of ahead of time.  While it was appreciated, even more important is the fact that I've never seen myself as a victim in these last two decades.  Not in the sense where I have lived as a victim.  Now I'm learning that most sexually assaulted people go on living their lives in the same manner.  That's good to know.  There is hope for people.  People can heal and move on.  Those who don't forgive and move on are actually a smaller percentage.

The circus was over after several weeks and Kavanaugh prevailed taking a seat on the Supreme Court.  All that mayhem looks as though it was all for not for the Democrats.  I have no interest in restoking the political fire storm by giving any final personal analysis on the debacle. It won't hurt to let the low burning coals die out.  God is sovereign.  Nothing... absolutely nothing happens outside of his sovereignty.
