the end of the year ceremony really signified something. I can't put my finger or words to it just yet. But wow. The boys have experienced so much, learned so much and lived so much with their new home, their people and new friends in just one year. Nothing in years past compares and they have more understanding as to why their mom was looking forward to their MK chapter....for them. It's like no other. Looking back they remember how painfully new their first week of school was with all things familiar (and friends) half a world away. Now heading into summer they experience first batch of friends leaving. Some returning after summer. Some after a year. Some not at all. They have heard of some they have yet to meet returning from the US and other countries. There is just as much bitter as there is sweetness to this here MK thing. All in all, they have enjoyed it. They've enjoyed the challenges, the comrade amongst fellow TCKers, the love n care from teachers who have also sacrificed to be here for them, and the all around cultural exposure on so many levels. I smile for reasons only an MK mom can smile for....
ps. If I found a piso in every biko I ate I'd eat quite well and save up for ....who knows what!!! !!!

Showed Dylan and his friends a pic of me in the 1983-84 Tiwalan year book. |
- Lauren Zion Shephard, Kelly Blackwell, David Arntz and 25 others like this.
- Jennifer Prigodich Helwig Thanks, Kim. Can't wait to share this with you and my own kids this next year!
- Leilani Labial Tan I am glad your boys went to Faith. A lot of Paolo's friends left or went on furlough at the time of your boys' arrival. Indeed, God's timing is always perfect...and I am happy to know that your year has been great. Praise God for Faith Academy. What a blessing it has been for our kids.
