if you only knew the millions of things I want to say....but don't

Thursday

food please

It's the 3rd day out of school for the boys. Mike had attempted to go to work, but flood waters still on the roads brought him back home. As we were heading back out to grab a few items from a store just at the entrance of our community, we saw them. They were 10-12 years old. They were looking in our trash cans. They were specifically looking for shoes, flip flops...anything to put on their feet. In my broken tagalog I asked one of the boys what was on his feet. It was an obvious infection and he showed me the bottom of his feet that were just as bad if not worse than the top. Mike went into the house looking for something his size. We didn't have anything his size. Then they said they were hungry. I had Mike go back in the house and he brought out a box of food for them. They were extremely delighted. They chuckled as Mike and I tried to get even more personal with them by asking their names, age...etc. But the food... that seemed to really make their day...along with some flip flops they had found from a previous house.....
