In delightful chortling, I feel the need to say that only the most astonishing pickiest of picky eaters has no understanding of the [more than] palatable leftovers the day after the biggest turkey feast has taken place all over America. There are so many invented and re-invented ways of shoving that leftover bird into our maws it's hard to pick one method out of thousands. If a sandwich calls your name, it just isn't a post Thanksgiving turkey sandwich without mustard. Sandwich it however you like....but is it really living without the mustard?
We still have some leftover coconutty banana bread so I enjoyed that with the seasonal mint chocolate truffle creamer in my coffee this morning. If you haven't gotten any yet, and you like coffee....oh, don't miss out. That's some lip lappin' great stuff!
While so many are out getting a seasonal head start on Christmas shopping and decorating I've truly enjoyed this black friday at home snacking on leftovers and blogging to my sentimental heart's content. I was too full to have any pumpkin pie yesterday or last night. Mom used the awesome recipe plastered on every pumpkin pie filling can. She bought butter pecan ice cream to go with it (that's her favorite). The kids enjoyed that. But me? An incredibly generous helping of whip cream is just right.
