if you only knew the millions of things I want to say....but don't

Thursday

you can read!

It’s time for another lesson to keep you on the reading track.  I like the book we use.  It’s easy and stress free.  Just like the front cover we sit side by side on the couch.  I know where we left off from yesterday.  You know the drill.

What’s this sound?  What’s that sound?  Do you remember what this one sounds like?  How about that one?  Now here’s a new one to add to your developing skills.  Repeat after me these three letter words.  Words with short sounds.  Words with long sounds.  Now say them quickly.  Let’s do them again.

In your cute four year old way you laugh at yourself. “Oops I forgot”, you say with a twinkle in your eyes and a chortling smile from ear to ear.  Sitting still is not much of a challenge until it’s time to read.  You grab your bear feet and wiggle your toes.

You giggle your way through the lesson.  I just enjoy the moment.  Each lesson moves you up another level and I stay impressed.  Impressed that it’s so easy.  Impressed that you progress.  Oh, how precious is your developing articulation and pronunciation.  How precious you are.

I’m so proud of you my sweet Maverick….and I love you so!
