if you only knew the millions of things I want to say....but don't

Getting Stoned

Another trip down to the valley typically means another culinary stop at the Asian Bistro. Pinoy television is nothing short of entertaining. Last week we recently purchased the first Rosetta Stone Tagalog CD. Yah, we definitely want to be welled Stoned before flying out to Manila. Grant it, the majority of the population speaks English. But Mike's desire to be able to relate to the Filipinos as he interacts with him has been followed by an intensifying desire to have a "better understanding of the language"...as he put it.

I like sitting in comfortable viewing distance of the television every time we're in the Bistro. Filipino television is one nostalgia my homesick heart loves to indulge in. So, once again, we sat there, we two. Before leaving Mike verbalized the desire to have access to Filipino television at home while getting Stoned. So, today I called in the order....which charged a one time $100 fee. 'o' Tomorrow we start the new venture of breaking a language barrier in our quest to move "home" to the islands ASAP. The new dish satellite gets installed and the Stone CD arrives.

Mike has enjoyed getting acquainted with the Filipino owners of the Bistro. He does a better job than I do of engaging as it is. For that I'm thankful. He's the only American I've witnessed experience the warm Filipino reception since we've started eating there simply because....well, he's a charmer. Not in a bad way. But he's a naturally nice charmer. No denying it. Before leaving we were given a few desert samplings. Is there anything better than the nostalgics of familiar culinary flavors? YUM!! The names are unfamiliar to me. I have yet to witness any American appreciate that kind of gesture from a Filipino.

Onward to the Hyatt in downtown Phoenix for some orientation of the millionaire mind intensive training that's coming in May. That orientation was intense. For a free promotional seminar, there was a lot to chew on. We were face-to-face with our $ blueprint. Much to my surprise, there was no hesitation for Mike to invest in the three day intensive course. He was out of his seat like nobody's business. We're excited about retraining our mindset and restructuring our $$ blueprint.
